Welcome to the heart of Nepal’s wilderness!

At The Jungle Book Safari And Tours, we invite you to explore the captivating Chitwan National Park through an array of exciting activities. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty, rich biodiversity, and vibrant culture of this remarkable region.

Chitwan National Park is renowned for its Asian one-horned rhinoceros and the elusive Royal Bengal Tigers that roam its dense forests. But that’s not all—rhinos, elephants, crocodiles, pythons, and brilliantly colored birds also call this place home.
And let’s not forget the vibrant Tharu Culture! witness  their traditions, enjoy captivating Tharu dances, and explore their way of life.

Jungle Walk

Walking in the jungle is a great way to immerse yourself in this incredible environment. All the sights, sounds and smells can be experienced at a slower pace. Quieter and more environmentally friendly than a jeep safari, this is a chance to have a closer look at the habitats that make up the jungle while still having the potential to see all the same animals and birds, but maybe take a closer look at the trees and plants, and spot some insects and smaller creatures.

There is a safety briefing before starting the walk, which has two guides. We can take a picnic lunch and make a day of it, or even plan an overnight stay.

Jeep Safari

This is the most common way to see the park. There are half day and full day tours, usually with other visitors. Private safaris with a guide can be booked. The jeep drives along the paths, the driver and the guide will spot animals and stop so you can observe them. This is a good way to cover a lot of ground and see different habitats and the animals that live in them.

Canoe Ride

Come and experience the tranquility of Chitwan’s waterways. As you glide along the gentle rivers, you’ll be surrounded by the park’s lush greenery and diverse wildlife. Spot two different species of crocodiles basking in the sun, deer drinking at the water’s edge, and a myriad of bird species. Guided by experienced naturalists, the canoe ride offers a unique perspective of Chitwan’s rich ecosystem.
There are a number of possible tour options available:
On a 30 minute or one hours canoe ride, you will experience the peace and quiet of the river and see nature and daily life of the banks. After the ride, you can see local life on a walk, cycle of drive back to your hotel. This could be combined with a visit to the elephants or some birdwatching to make a morning tour.
On a longer canoe ride of 2-4 hours, you will get further into the jungle. The sounds of nature will become clearer as all other noise disappears. Who knows what wildlife you might see along the banks. Crocodiles for sure and lots of bird life but maybe deer or monkeys. When you disembark, you will be deep in the jungle. There are a number of options for the rest of the day. A picnic lunch and a jungle walk and to join a jeep safari are just some of the possibilities. Talk to us about what would suit you best…
